A FEW IDEAS FOR LONDON ART TOURS…
The National Gallery
The home of Western European Art. With over 2000 paintings this gallery has some of the world’s most famous pieces from Holbein’s The Ambassadors to Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, there is something for everyone.
The British Museum
Founded in 1753, this is Britain’s oldest museum. It has over 6 million objects which tell the history of civilisation as made by the hand of man. Some of it’s treasures are the wonders of the ancient world including the Rosetta Stone, The Parthanon marbles, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and the Winged Bulls of Khorsabad.
The Victoria & Albert Museum
This is C&S Tour’s favourite museum! Founded in 1852 after The Great Exhibition it is a treasure trove of Decorative Art and Design. The courtyard with its sublime pool is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the building as well as cooling your toes whilst drinking a latte.
Tate Modern
Recently voted the UK’s most visited tourist attraction this is the home of international modern and contemporary art. The displays are challenging and ever changing, with Artist Rooms, blockbuster exhibitions and a killer viewing platform on the 10th floor of the Blavatnik Building. After you’ve finished you can hop on the Tate to Tate boat and head down river to Tate Britain, the home of British painting including the fabulous Turner Bequest.
Tate Britain
Tate Britain is the home of British Art from 1500 to the present day. Amongst it’s great treasures is the Turner Bequest. This unique collection is the largest of its kind anywhere. You can discover for yourself why JMW Turner often shocked his contemporaries with his loose brushwork and vibrant colour palette, and why he truly does deserves the title of ‘father of modern art…’
The Natural History Museum & Science Museum
If it’s Kids London you’re interested in or you are a keen botanist then there is no better place in London than these two museums. Adjacent to each other you can explore everything the natural world has to offer from dinosaurs to earthquakes via the cloud making machine!

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
The success of the morning’s programme depended completely on you and your team. I know that our visitors from abroad have left with happy memories of an enjoyable morning spent together.
