At Canvas & Stone Tours we know how exciting it is to travel with kids, to show them the sights for the first time and to see things through their eyes.

We also know that it’s important to take things at their pace and not to overload their small feet or impressionable minds, rather we’re here to make the day a smooth and enjoyable one, with plenty of stops for hot chocolate!!

Family London Tours: Playgrounds & Parks

Princess Diana Memorial Playground

If the kids need to let off a bit of steam, this is a great place to do so.  It was erected in memory of the late Princess Diana in honour of her eternal love of children and adventure.  Complete with a climbable pirate ship, tunnels, swings and an enormous sand pit, this is perfect for little ones to romp about whilst parents grab a coffee.  Set right in the heart of Kensington Gardens, on the edge of Hyde Park it can easily be combined with a trip to any of the nearby museums or Kensington Palace.

Canvas and Stone Family London Tours also provide day tours on the outskirts of the Capital. Listed below are some of the family favourites. Other popular destinations for young people and families include Harry Potter World, Legoland, Osterley House and many more…..

Windsor Castle

This is the perfect place to play prince or princess for a day. The Dolls House built for Queen Mary in the 1920s is spectacular.  Dubbed ‘the most beautiful dolls house in the world’,  it was designed as a miniature palace with fully plumbed bathrooms and an exceptional wine cellar!

Hampton Court Palace

As well as the magnificent kitchens fully stocked as if to serve a banquet for 600 at the court of Henry VIII, the maze is a must see.  Planted in the 1680s is has delighted visitors to the palace ever since.

Regents Park Canal and Zoo

No child is ever disappointed by a trip to the Zoo and Regents Park Zoo is no exception. Nestled in the heart of this beautiful Royal Park there are more than enough lions, giraffes and llamas as well as insects and reptiles galore.

If you'd like to beat the crowds, we can arrange private tours to a number of these sites.
